How to Make A Decision?

Bismillah and Assalamualaikum.
Today I learn something new in my class about "How to Make A Decision?". I think it is very important to be discussed because most people had difficulty in making decisions in their life from trivial things like which clothes we should wear until making a big decision such as to get married to a stranger that we already knew them a couple of months or maybe years. From the articles, I read in class, there were three ways on how we going to solve our confusion in making decision:

1. Be Logical
We should be rational by figuring out the factors or reasons that influence our decision. For example,

Problem: We always took a long time to choose the best clothes every morning.
Reason: We did not want to wear the same stuff,
Solution: Why not we start planning a little bit earlier on the weekend or at least the night before we start our day.

Another example,

Problem: Have no idea to eat for lunch
Reason: Getting bored eating same food every day
Solution: Find a nice and different restaurant or probably we could plan our meal by cooking on your own or make a schedule on which food we going to eat that week.

It might sound silly, but I just given you a general idea on how to make a decision by logical thinking. It could be easy to follow or not for certain people. All depend on YOU!

Next..

2. Be intuitive
Follow your gut! Sometimes we tend to follow our feeling in deciding something. But, BE AWARE! It may make you more confusing and totally lost if because the chance for you to decide a right thing is maybe 50 percent or less than that. It is not a specific number, but, I would say it is quite difficult to solve problems by following our heart that might lead you to worst result. However, it is not a big deal if we want to choose this way.

Finally..

3. Take a chance
I think most people use this in making a decision. For example, we start our education in kindergarten, then went to primary and secondary school, further study to foundation or diploma, pursue study for Bachelor's Degree, get married, have a family, decide to take Master and Ph.D. and the list goes on.

I tell you what when I ask my friend about their planning after completing Diploma. They said, "I don't know. I just follow the flow." Personally, I would say most of us do not have a life planning instead of just follow the fate that been set for them. I am not saying it is  a bad thing because sometimes it could be good, but sometimes it totally not good. Like I said just now, it all depends on YOU!

Actually these are my personal opinion and suggestion about "How to Make A Decision?". You might agree or disagree with mine. I just give my own view based on the articles I learn today. But, it's okay. Everyone has their own perspective on a certain issue. You can share your thoughts by drop your comment in my entry.

I need to relax!!!

Bismillah and Assalamualaikum.
Since I join IELTS preparation class this month, I had a busy day. I need to wake up early in the morning. Then, I must get ready to go to class that start at 9 until 1.20 pm. At 2, I go for work until 6 pm. Then I back home, taking a bath, dinner, prayer and straight away going to desk and start studying. Finally, I will go to bed at 11 or 12 pm. So, the routine repeating for next day. It's quite tough. Sometimes I feel exhausted and relly need rest. But how I could find a suitable time as now I struggling with IELTS exam for next month? So, these are few ways for me to catch a little bit breath:

1. Cut off from social media accounts
I ever heard from another blog saying that we must stop ourselves from checking any social media things when you going to start your early day because it might make you feel mess up with all those stuff. So, YES! I DID THAT! And I found that after I decide not to check my Facebook, Instagram Whatsapp, Gmail and so on, I feel more calm and have a peaceful mind. So, instead what I do? I will just recite a dua', zikr, motivates myself to be a better person and improve my spoken English by talking to myself (okay, that sounds a little bit crazy, but I did that.. haha). I will back to social media when I finish my class or work.

2. Get a sleep booster during break time
My class will end at 1.20 pm and I went to work by taking a train at LRT station. It took 15 minutes to reach my destination. So, I used that time to sleep for  a while to boost my mind that already exhausted because consumed too much lesson previously. Make a dua' to Allah hopes that our sleep has been a reward as a good deed because we already lost our energy to learn Allah's knowledge.

3. Doing hobbies
I really enjoy reading other people's blog, reading books, sharing useful information to friends through Whatsapp, doing house chores, walk around, watching tv or Youtube and the list go on. I used to do all these when I feel tired and need little space to energize myself into a normal state. It is okay if you really need to relax. Islam is not torturing you to work 24/7 until you couldn't walk straight like a drunk person. Just make sure you do beneficial hobbies that may not only gain your energy back but you also gain reward from Allah S.W.T.

4. Sleep early
I usually sleep at 11 or near 12 pm. I think this is important because we already work hard during the daytime. Allah had given us a night to rest so we must use this privilege. Have a good sleep so we can get ready for next day with a great mind, high spirit and be enthusiastic!!

All in all, these are my style on how to get off my stressful and busy day. You might have something else that more interesting to unwind yourselves from all toughest day. If you don't have any, just try to come out with something amazing!

Lesson from from Al-Asr- We have ENOUGH TIME!!

Bismillah. This is my first post in English. At first, I feel doubtful to post my article in English, but I take it as a challenge as now I am busy preparing for my IELTS exam next month. I feel tensed but never mind. It's a normal thought.

In IELTS exam, it divided into four parts that are Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. What makes me got anxiety to all these part is how I can plan time wisely especially for reading and writing part as the time given is one hour only!! I already do lots of exercises and feel not confident to abide with the time.

But, Allah The Most Grateful has answered my uncertainty by verses from Quran that is Al-Asr:

In the name Of Allah The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful

I swear by the time,   (1)
Most surely man is in loss,  (2)
Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.  (3)

Why is Allah telling that human is in the loss unless people who doing good deeds? I am not good in explaining deeply about this verses. If I saying the wrong explanation, please correct me because I never learn in details about Hadith and Quran.

We keep telling ourselves that we don't have much time to do this and that. In my opinion as an ordinary worshipper, Allah gave us time to do beneficial things. If we fill our time with something unnecessary such as gossiping, watching television, playing games, Facebooking, Whatsapp and so on, when  are we going to finish our important works? We need to keep priority at the top of our list. Thus, we WILL have enough time to do lots of things.

So, how I am going to use Allah words to help me in my exam? Of course, I must arrange my time effectively by setting a target. How much time do I need to brainstorm the idea? How much does time require to finish the essay and spend a time to check any error from the essay? A lot of practices should be taken. I hope we can use our time productively, InsyaAllah.
